How long does plasti dip last?

Is it a temporary paint job or will it last forever assuming no curbing the wheel? Any one had tires replaced after plasti dipping the wheels? Any damage that required it ouch ups? Thanks

I redo my PD every 6 months, left too much longer, like a year, it harder to get off. It will last longer than that and slowly fade a bit, but it's a bear to get off surfaces that get heated, like the hood scoop or headlight housing. The rubber seems to cure or bake and become tougher. I would imagine wheels will get hot will breaking and eventually become tougher to get off if left on for too long.

Vinyl from Lyle at VinylStyles... 1 1/2+ years and all is still perfect. I paid big bucks for the car and only put quality parts on it. Notice all of the black-out...
