Help with broken axle and motor spacers
hey guys, ive had my mini for about 2 years and around the time i bought it i ordered D2 coilovers and some xxr 002 wheels an made it look nice imo. i ended up breaking axles almost every 3-4 months for a year. then i just put it higher an put the stock wheels on. but id love to get wheels again an slam it without the axle problem. i was thinking motor mount spacers. maybe someone on here with alot of know how on these cars can help me with a idea on what to do to raise the motor and make my mini good looking again.
thanks, michael

I doubt they were OEM axles. Don't cheap out on the axles.
Now for your motor mount spacers, its going to take more than just spacers. The problem would be either raising or changing the angle of the lower engine mount. The top two arent really a problem.

There's a whole discussion on raising the engine on the dorky cheapskate mods thread (this mod is far from dorky and cheap)

In my opinion, just don't slam your car so low. And raising the engine would just mean you're raising your center of gravity, which negates the purpose of lowering it (unless you lower for cosmetics).
You should be fine with almost any wheels, if you've raised the car back to a suitable height.
