04 MCS Pulley and Shock Tower Mushrooming

Hey guys just picked up a 04 MCS and so far I love it. This car is truly a masterpiece and I thought nothing could top the miata I had in terms of the "funness" level, but this car proved me wrong! Anyways upon further inspection I noticed this car has a Alta Pulley V2 but I have NO idea what percentage, any help would be much appreciated. It also looks like my shock towers are ok and not mushroomed, but may have been welded or hit with something. Can anyone confirm this?

Happy Motoring,
Chase

I could not get a good shot of the pulley, but if someone could identify the percentage that would be awesome.

Welcome to the MINI world (and the MINI and Miata world!)
The pulley should have the percentage stamped on it somewhere - odds are it's a 15%.

Pounded out towers usually have marks around the upper flange, not the lower. Yours may have had a strut tower on it at some point. Are there similar marks on the ontehr side? Doubt it was welded.

No the other side looks perfectly fine. So to protect the shock tower I should just get some of the plates that bolt to the top? Thank you for your help!

You're strut towers look like they should, nothing looks like its been welded, or worked on to me. However maybe it's just the perspective of the camera, but are all the bolts straight, or parallel to each other? That's where you see mushrooming begin. The bolts will start pointing different directions.
Get some tower defenders on there for sure!!

As for the pulley, as the previous poster said, it should be stamped on there. It might be really small, but shine a flashlight on there and you should be able to make it out!

Great looking MINI!! I think you will definately have more fun in it than any Miata, or any other car for that matter!
