I just returned from having the O2 sensor on my 2005 S convertible changed under warranty at the Dublin, Ohio Mini dealer. My car has 76000 miles, is garaged, and does not drive every day (hence the low miles).

My service report has the following additional services recommended:
Power Steering Flush $169
Brake Flush $169
Coolant Flush $189
Fuel Injection Service $179

I refer to the Bentley service manual, and it says for the (automatic) transmission "The 6 speed automatic transmission with Agitronic is filled with lifetime fluid from the factory. As a result there is no scheduled automatic transmission fluid interval. If it is necessary to drain the ATF, use a clean container to store and re-use the ATF".

In the maintenance section, Bentley says "The power steering system is permanently filled and does not have a drain. Routinely adding hydraulic fluid is not required unless the system is leaking."

I can not find any reference in the Bentley manual to a "Fuel Injection Service".

What do you think?

 

do the brake fluid flush. i did, and totally felt a difference.
not sure about the rest; i think most of my other fluids have been changed due to other warranty work.

what is the fuel injector service? i found out (heard on a forum here) that the injectors have tiny filters in them... anyone confirm this? can said filters be cleaned?
