Dan, in SM you're allowed to run any DOT approved tire. So you'll want Hoosiers or Kumho. The Hoosier 04s are said to run wide, meaning that 205 is as wide as last years 225.

R3S04: 205/45 or 225/50 @ $184/tire
A3S04: 205/45 or 225/50
V710: nothing in 16"
V700: 205/45 or 225/50 @ $124-148/tire

You're better off with 15's.
A3S04: 225/45-15.

Have fun and good luck.

I ended up ordering these:

225/50ZR-16 Kumho VictoRacer V700 Heat Cycled

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm just a little worried about rubbing. If it is an issue, I might just take the plastic trim off for racing.

I'm in a similar situation but using 17" tires.
I was told that Victoracer V710 was good.
What size? 215/40-17?
I have Centerline RPM 17x7 rims on an MCS.

I'd say go as wide as you can. if you can get teh 225's under there like I'm hoping to, then go wider. If your not sure that size sounds good.

The v710 is not available in a size for the Mini.
In the v700, it's either 205/40 or 225/45.
In the A3S04, it's 225/45. In the A3S03, 205/40 is available.
And the other brands don't offer any better selection. The Pirelli Corsa does offer a 215/45 but it's a 140 wear rating and is harder than what you want for SM.
