Looking for correct OEM wheel center cap

This is going to sound too complex for such a small part, but one wheel of our '06 Justa is missing its OEM center cap. The black background center caps (about 2" in diameter) with "MINI" in the center that I've seen online seem to have four large tabs on the back for fitment. But the fitment space (now empty, of course) on our 16" R83 Daytona wheel has four small receiver slots. Thus, it appears that such large tabs won't fit into such small slots.

Also, there seems to be traces of adhesive where the center cap was. Do these caps need to be glued in too?

Please attenuate my ignorance and show me the way.

I have no experience with the Daytona (5 star) wheel, but the MINI caps that fit in the 17" S-lites definitely just clip in. Given their required removal for mounting and balancing, can't see adhesive being an OEM solution. The tabs on the caps from my S-lites aka R-85 measure 5/8" wide.

Thanks, Eric. You helped me to see the light. It's only the MINI decal that's missing; hence the dried adhesive residue, which I'll try to remove before installing a new decal.

It's a metal plaque with adhesive tape: http://www.minicarparts.net/Parts/36_13_6_758_687.cfm
