I have owned a 2003 cooper s now for about 6 months. I have always been a big fan of motor sports and as the mini has quite a profound racing heritage, I want to try and test it on track to see where its real performance boundaries lie. I am currently living in NJ and have done some research into track days but there doesnt seem to be any around (I'm assuming this has something to do with liability issues). I tried asking my local mini dealership for some advice but to no avail. Is there anybody that could tell me how I can get my mini on a track??

Thanks Gerry. I will be planning on taking part in an Autocross event on the 28th @ Meadowlands car park. The SCCA website has been very helpful...

 

The people I do track days with Hooked on Driving have a franchise out in that end of the world. They have a track day at New Jersey Motorsports Park coming up in August (and one at Watkins Glen, a track I'd love to get to).
