Window Tint - Black Ice needs some shades.

Want to tint my windows like many others have done for UV protection and the great look. Sun through the driver's side window is the worst, as my head sits back behind the side visor (I'm 6'2"). There are three tint shops close by in Stanton, CA that can do the job, but not sure if they have MINI experience or if they are any good. They are on Beach Blvd. close to each other: BEST TINT, TINT-M-UP & ALPHA TINT. Anyone have experience with these shops?

Thinking about at least a complete 35% tint on all around. I'm open for any suggestions on material (ceramic?), % and any quality shop in "The OC" other than these that has MINI experience.

Suggestions appreciated. Thx.

Well..., maybe this will help someone else in this area out in the future...

I got a quote from all three tint shops, but Alpha Tint beat hands down. Yong is a nice guy and offers four levels of tint. I went with the 20% to get that all black roof down to the center line look.

The car appears much cooler inside when getting in after being parked in the sun and the air seems to crank up quicker too. The best thing is the sun doesn't beat on my left side anymore!

Oh yeah, it lowered the car too! I didn't know 20% tint would lower the whole car? Really, it looks lower than before for some reason (stock height). Must be the new solid Black to Ice Blue color line split.

Great job for $120 with Lifetime!

Yup. Picked up 2.22BHP according to my recently installed Butt Dyno! This thing is accurate out to 100th of a HP and never lies. Get your own Butt Dyno HERE...

Thanks for the kudo's LittleWing.

Looks great!
I'd like to do the same thing to The Go-kart, but I'd have to go a little lighter on the front windows. Tint police are pretty tough here in Mass.

Second MINI, did 35% on both, legal in Maryland. Does look good on a

black car (both).

Thanks for the kudo's LittleWing.

That's one of the best modding sites I've ever seen.
Bookmarked that one.
If I didn't have run flats I might go for that lowering kit.
