Urgent!!! Oil leaking everywhere. Road trip TOMORROW???

Did an oil change today on my car. Have done many of them on this thing before, except today for some reason when I was finished oil is now going everywhere when the car is running...leaking from somewhere under the car. it is NOT coming from the drain plug, but from up above. I already tried checking the oil filter cap but it seemed real snug. Where's this oil coming from!!!

I am taking this car on a 1,200 mile trip tomorrow and of course this happens now....any ideas? It has got to be oil filter cover.....only happens when car is on. Car is off right now and not leaking.

Sometimes you can get an oil filter o-ring that is a little bit too loose. When you screw in the oil filter it can bulge from being a little too big for the slot and get pinched. Therefore as you screw in the filter it ends up tearing the seal. Things like this happen, even to the pro's
