a little shimmy ..

Hello,

I have a question. I about a year ago put come konig lace 17" wheels on my car and always noticed a light shimmy in the steering wheel, it seems to come and go depending on how smooth the road is. When i bought the wheels i was told i needed centric ring for the hub, however I thought how is was designed from the factory I would not need them. Is there truth behind that. Off topic how do u post a larger pic like i see other people do.

Thanks, shane

If they don't have the hub centric rungs then they could definitely be a bit off-center. This would maybe make the steering wheel vibrate a wee bit and could potentially wear out wheel bearings I would imagine. They're cheap, save the worry and get some.

As for posting larger pics, the best way is the link it from another site. At the top of your post-box there is a little mountain picture. If you click on that it will prompt you to type in an HTML or BBCode. Practice on this thread if you want.

Well I have an update on my shimmy. I put some new hubcentric rings in and no helf. I found out that the wheels i bought where originally drilled for a 240sx and the shipper did not tell me that they did so I'm thinking that might be the problem.
