Clutch/Throttle very touchy when engine is cold

I find that before my 08' MCS has completely warmed up it is very difficult to shift smoothly. Not the shifter itself but as I release the clutch/apply gas it's very difficult to have that be smooth. Usually it's jumpy. However, when the engine is warm this goes away and I have no issues. Anyone else experience this or know why it's happening?

Thanks

It does take some time for the fluid to warm up and then it will shift smoother. Also there could be a possibilty that you might be low. Might want to look into checking or changing it to some like Redline, Motul, or Amsoil.

That's the only downside to a small turbocharged engine...little things matter alot like oil temp, etc. Mine is the same and everyone I have talked to has the same issue.

My car usually hates the first minute or so of running. The first few applications of throttle are more hesitant. I don't like doing more than a 10-20 seconds of warmup in a modern car but my JCW is much happier with about 1-2 minutes of idling before I drive off. I say it give it character I guess. Or maybe I have a faulty O2 sensor or something. I figure it is fine as the car is so new.
