new 205/40-18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2's due in June. Is the 45mm offset going to get me in trouble with the strut housing? I am close now with my stock 17x7x48mm with a 215/45-17 pzero. I appreciate you opinion, thanks!

P.S. Section width is 8.4" on a 7.5" rim and 24.4" Diameter.
These new michelins are the bomb and have suprisingly supple sidewalls (are supposed to be a quieter smoother riding tire (not to mention F1 sticky) than the pilot sports.

Thanks Caddman for the feedback. I saw some rather nice Enkei Adam Suratawa wheels split 5 spoke and 20lbs ea i could get for probably $175 ea.

The new 18" JCW wheels will be fitted with 205/40-18 Dunlop SP Sport 01 DDST tires. This wheel is only 7" wide but has a 52mm offset and requires a "steering stop" retrofit kit.

I think you should be OK with a 45mm offset.

I have yet to recieve any tires in 205/40- So i have yet to add them to my fitment database. Sounds like it may be an issue, due to lower offset than JCW, but that lower offset may adequatly space it back out. Once I get tires we'll check it out.
