I no longer own my Mini or frequent this forum, but I still have these laying around (OEM part #32 30 6 773 645). I bought them new from Classic Mini with the intention of adding the MFSW controls to my 2008 R56, but I never got around to it. I parted ways with the car shortly thereafter and I currently have no use for them. Please message me with any questions you might have.

Can you just add these to a standard wheel and they work? Do you need to reprogram the dme? Do you need additional hardware (computer module)?

From what I understand, the DME needs reprogrammed, but I don't believe any additional hardware is required. Like I mentioned in my initial post, it's been a good while since I've frequented this forum, but I know there are quite a few threads on here related to this topic.
