I've had my r60 for less then a month, and I found a very weird crack in my windshield. It starts directly in the center on the top of my windshield, and forms a perfect curved L shape. Any thoughts? WIll warranty cover this? Thanks!

 

A rock hit the windshield of my r60 a few months ago. The repair was not covered under warranty, but I brought it into my dealership and they filled it with some sort of acrylic. It was a cheap repair, but it sounds like your windshield crack is more extensive than mine.

 

Unless the crack can be proven as stress related, no, it will not be covered under warranty.

 

Just replaced my windshield w/rain sensor for $380.00...it was my wife's annual windshield replacement time and on the exact same date...

The tire warranty is great too...MINI replaced two runflats last month because the wife said that she didn't see the big pothole...it was free.

 

Gotta have those dings filled right away. Filling them is free from your insurance, but replacement is not. Some policies offer a 0 deductible on glass, and I'd recommend that option. Between the curvature, size and angle, it seems very susceptible to dings, and is very expensive to replace
