ok so i have been looking through the fourms and i see alot of r53s running down the track in the 13s but i dont see any r56s. I had asked the guys at alta when i bought my boost tube why it seems no one was running in the 13s hell even in the low 14s. all he told me that the r56 are more for handling and not straights. is this true? i have seen alot of guys saying that the haved 280bhp that should easly get in the low 14s high 13s.

All MINI's are designed for the twisties rather than the straights.

As for running times in the 1/4 mile when my MCCS (clubbie) was 6 months old I took it up to New England Dragway and was running low 14's with a "stock" car. No performance mods at all. Times ranged from 14.1 to 14.6 consitstantly that night. I have not been back since, but can tell you my car will not run those kind of times now with 95K+ miles on her.
