BF Goodrich g-Force Sport

So I'm looking at the summer tires for both street and about 9-10 High speed Auto cross events. I think I found the best bag for the buck with BF Goodrich but I need some help. I like these tires especially for the price and I have some Michelin pilot sport A/S right now I want to save them for winter they worked out decent this past winter. but I noticed discount tire has 2 kinds of this tire they look exactly the same to me tread wear and speed ratings but they have different prices? on Tirerack.com they only have the 1 kind? Also has anyone tried these out? Do you think they would work well for mostly street driving and some track days? I put a link below of with the tires on them

The tires are different, and Tire Rack has them both. The g-Force Sport Comp 2 is a relatively new tire, so no survey data has been posted yet. The g-Force Sport has been around a while. Both are UHPS tires.

Tires in the Extreme and Maximum Performance Summer categories would be better for AX, but they'll wear out sooner than tires in the UHPS category. In your OE size, the Bridgestone RE-11, the Yoko AD08, and the Michelin Super Sport would probably work well for AX. The first two are in the Extreme category and the Michelin is in the Maximum category.

I've been using the RE-11 for AX, but am seriously considering the Michelin SS for my next tires.

For the price, right now, I would look at the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO.
A set of 4 is $332 after $80 rebate.

The Hankook will stick better than the BFG Comp-2 but will wear a little faster.
For the performance vs. wear vs. price comparison the Hankook wins.
The Hankook rates very well in performance, wears about 18% faster, but is about 21% cheaper.

I use the Hankook V12 for street and Auto-X. It is an OK tire for Auto-X and wears well for street.

Another thought for you is to think about a 215/40-17 tire size.

I was looking t the Hankooks but on tire rack they said the wet traction could be improved on, my program does race on the track in the rain so I was kind of iffy on those,

I think I put up the wrong link sorry iv been doing do much research my mind is going to explode lol, I am looking for 215/40or45/17 tires

215/45 is .3" taller, and 215/40 .5" shorter, than OE. Either size would work, but 215/40 may be slightly better for AX due to the shorter sidewall.

Tire selection overlaps in those two sizes. In the 215/45 size are the RE-11, Star Spec, AD08, and Michelin SS. A new tire that holds much promise is the Toyo Proxes R1R, but there isn't even a TR test on it yet, so you'd have to ask Alex about it.

In the 215/40 size are the Star Spec, and the AD08. There is also the somewhat cheaper ($99) Maximum Performance Kumho Ecsta LE Sport that apparently provides longer tread wear.

You'll have to decide how much AX-to-road driving compromise you're willing to make. The best street tires for AX are relatively expensive, wear fairly quickly, and rarely offer a comfortable ride.

I wish I had a second set of wheels so I could go with a dedicated track tire but I would need one that would be more for street driving. It seams I would have to sacrifice a little on the track but I should get something a little better that my all seasons, so that brings me back to something like the g-Force, kumho tires or another summer tire
