some market research

Any input you would like to give would be greatly appreciated. I am getting ready to hit up my local Mini dealer to purchase my smart phone app program. (I am a Realtor by trade, but have this side small business set up to help my small business commercial clients. it is an affordable self managed web based smart phone app that creates a unique marketing tool for businesses such as car dealers, hair salons, golf courses etc.

1. Would you an Iphone/Android app that links to your dealer to view inventory, schedule service, connect with fellow Mini owners in your area by uploading pictures, accessing a calendar of events, get discounts with "check-ins" at your dealer, or other rally points around town?

2. Is a free app that has these features plus Facebook, Twitter and other social media of any benefit?

3. How often do you go to your local dealer's website to view inventory? Schedule Service? Look for special events?

4. Do you use your local dealers main website or their mobile site from your smartphone?

Thanks for any responses in advance.

1. Would not be interested in such an app. MINI already has an app that does some of that. It was interesting for about 5 minutes.

2. Adding in social media would not help increase my interest.

3. Hardly ever go to dealer's site. Not looking for a new MINI, only been in for service once in the past two years (and that was just for the recall). Most events around here are led by our local club and even the events put on by the dealer are run through our club forums.

4. Don't think I've ever tried to access the site from my smart phone.

I'm pretty sure all the dealer sites are overseen/managed by MINI corporate. Not sure how much flexibility they may have to deploy your app even if they do think it beneficial.

Good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes.

1. Probably not. No need to view any more inventory since I just bought one and I wouldn't do it from my phone unless I was SUPER bored and stuck somewhere. The Mini mobile and internet sites are pretty good for scheduling service as it is. There is already an app that connects you with Mini drivers near you and hardly anyone uses it.

2. No, I'm already hyper connected through my phone, I don't really understand having another app that connects to those apps I guess. And doesn't Mini Connected already do this?

3. How often do you go to your local dealer's website to view inventory? Every few years when I think about car shopping or to check out a new model. Schedule Service? Maybe twice a year? Look for special events? Never.

4. I use their mobile site occasionally to schedule service.
