Countryman on the Dragon

We will be making a trip to MOTD this May, and this year we are taking our R60. Last year there were only about 10 there. Hoping to see a lot more this year, maybe even doing a CM drive. Wanted to see if other CMs will be heading there this year too?

I am thinking seriously about it. I am only about 3 hours away and here that run is world class.

I wish I could go with my new Countryman S, but I have a meeting out of town that week. At least I am traveling back to Cincinnati and the Reds are in town!

I plan on attending as well. The idea of an all Countryman ride does sound good.

Very cool, well as we get closer we can see about a drive, or even just going up to the water fall for an all CM pic.

Countryman on the Dragon

My wife and I are attending in our Countryman, we drove it in January on our way home from Tennessee and found a place to stay while in the area. We are really looking forward to our First Minis on The Dragon. We have not signed up for any drives yet so a Countryman Drive would be great.

This will be my first MOTD event with the Countryman. I have been several times in my first MINI an R56-S. I sure do miss that car, but the R60 handles amazingly well considering it's size and weight and I plan on having just as much fun as ever this year. I would gladly lead some all Countryman runs if there is interest. I will arrive at Fontana on Wed morning and will be staying thru Sunday. With the large amount of cars showing up this year it will definately be crowded on the roads especially on Friday and Saturday so I intend to do a few runs Wed afternoon and Thursday for those of you that will arrive early and want to tag along. I like to get up early and make the run down Hell Bender to Deals Gap for breakfast and a lap or two on the Dragon before the roads get crowded and of course driving the beast at night time is always a thrill too. Let me know what your interests are and I'm sure we can work up some organized runs as well as just keeping in touch at Fontana when you just get the urge to go for a drive! Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
