Something new on the 2004 brake pads?

When I was installing new rotors and brake pads on the 2004 MCS, I noticed there is something on the car that is different than Randy's instruction. The inner brake pad on the front driver side and on the rear passenger side has a wire connected directly to it.. :smile:

Sounds like pad wear sensors. My Boxster had them. Not sure how the MINI's is setup, but on the Porsche if you wore down to the sensor you had to replace the sensor (or repair it).
