My dark silver MCS has the white roof with the dark contrasting sunroof. It's not all that bad but I was just wondering if anybody has had their mini's look changed by having it either painted or by having a black decal placed around the sunroof? My dealer's charge is around $800 for the paint job. "Labor intensive to remove the sunroof" I'm not sure of any roof decals for "around" the sunroof.
Any thoughts?

cooperflags.com I have seen people put a white (perforated) decal on the sunroof to make it all white.

A decent paint shop should be able to do the job for around $300 without removing the sunroof. Thought about this myself but have grown to like the setup quite alot. Now I'm glad I didn't do it.

FYI, I put the decals on the glass portion (they make a special, perforated variety) and the manufacturer said all bets are off above 90 mph. I can attest to that. Most of it flew off coming home from last years MOT in the rain.

Decals have the advantage of being changable, either by you if you change your mind, or by the next guy who buys your car when you upgrade to the cabriol...
