As my signature would allude, I used to have a black MC with a checkerboard roof. Oh how I miss it!



I've since had two children and several (boring) cars. I'm currently considering the Countryman All4 and they just happen to have a black one at my local deal. I'd prefer white, but the black got me thinking about making the CM a throwback to my old MC.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a full checkerboard roof - not just the smaller one that covers the sunroof - for the CM with a sunroof?

 

Well I don'tthink it is a factory optoon, it didn't see it when I was looking but i am sure you can get it done aftermarket or even have a vinyl sticker cut for the entire roof, not just the sunroof.

Options for roof graphics with the dual-pane sunroof are pretty limited (from what I've seen). It's kinda sad, but perhaps like eggmole mentioned some aftermarket options will be available.

 

I saw on Vinyl Styles web site that he does roof coverings. Most of the pics seemed to be a solid color but, it may be worth a phone call to see if he could do a checkered pattern.

 

On a black roof, a pattern of white checks would give you the effect you're looking for.
I'd think most any vinyl shop could do it for you.
Putting the checks over the whole roof, including the double sunroof, would look great.
The view from inside would be interesting, too, with the white check pattern visible.
