Lack of customizing in Canada

I am wondering if any countryman owners can chime and on this question. Are we seriously limited to just the choices presented on mini.ca website? If you live in the states you have loads of different options, 4 different wheel choices for the 17inch, multiple different colour line options (surf blue, red) and the ability to order almost any option a la carte. According to the mini.ca website we have a bunch of predetermined packages and that's about it, well along with different seat options and exterior colour choices.

My dealer claims that what you see is why you get, but I'm just wondering if he's just saying that to make his life easier.

Talk to a different dealer...

Most, if not all, of the options are available if you simply ask or better yet know the option codes. For example, I ordered the Lounge Leather seats which have a Polar Beige piping on them. I wanted to get the Polar Beige door inserts to match. This is not evident or available on the Canadian website.

My dealer plunked the option code into the computer and, while it did require "approval" from MINI Canada, it is available.

Some items may require that they be tagged as a "special order" item.

Good luck!
