The other day my brother came over and pulled my R53 (I think) 05 JCW out of the garage so he could work on his car and when complete he pulled it back in the garage the auto climate control was dead. Since then I've tried everything. I've checked all the fuses (or the ones that I think pertain to it), letting it sit over night, pulling it out of my car overnight (since there's only the 1 wire harness attached) and i've even taken it apart gently to make sure the face was making contact with the actual circuit board. Nothing looks damaged and the face lights up with the rest of the instrument panels but no buttons work.

On top of that, now the forced air through the car comes in extremely hot (probably where the climate control was last set) and it's unbearable to drive!

I don't want to spend another $150 on eBay looking for a replacement control panel if I should check a couple of other things first.

Has anyone experienced a complete stop working of the auto climate control? I've seen many posts on the intermittent issues but this is not that. It just lights up, but that's it.

HI!! I have the same problem so i took it to my dealer and they couldt find anything. The dealer toldme tha the only thing they could do is replace the module ($1500 to $2000) but i did not do it. so i'm still researching, i will let u know if i findout somthing else or would thank u if u do the same!!!

Mine will have times where it won't display anything or power on. I can turn off the car and restart it and it comes back on........Another problem waiting to happen
