2012 R56 Cooper S Brake Sticking

My Wife had the 2007 Mini Cooper and traded that in for a 2012 Mini Cooper S. She noticed her Brakes sticking when she came to a complete halt going from 30 mph to 0 mph. She had to put the vehicle in park then restart the car for the brake to disengage.

Has anyone come across this type of situation or should we consider this a fluke? Any thoughts, ideas and possible solutions?

Thanks in advance for your input!

HiMac

Does the car have a manual transmission, and we she on an incline at all?
There's the hill-assist feature that holds the car briefly for a few seconds, but that doesn't sounds like your issue.

Head to the dealer; figure out what's up.

Just to note, all 2012 Mini have hill assist, even the automatics. Dealer said it was cheaper for them to install the same break module in every car, not have 2 to worry about.

She has an Automatic Transmission and it was on flat grounds, so i don't think it was hill assist.

Could be the level sensor mounted improperly or not calibrated (by rear wheel I believe), making the car think its on an incline every time it stops
