Hi all - I'm on the market for a car cover for my Mini Cooper Convertible. It's garaged all the time, so it's primarily to keep it clean when not being driven.

I was at the dealer today, and the MA said that the car cover for the convertible is approximately $100 MORE than the equivalent cover for a hatchback. Does anyone know why? ($325 vs. $225 thereabouts)

Is there possibly anything special in the fabrication because the cover will be resting against the convertible top (vs. metal roof)?

Dealer is investigating..... I may just buy the cheaper cover and I'm sure it will fit, since the rooflines are pretty identical.

Any insights or feedback on this topic would be appreciated!

 

California car cover = the best for the money. I have had at least 10 of them and the one I just got for the R57 fits great great. I think it was a little less than $200.
