I don't know about other 07+ Turbo drivers but MAN!! Today is 28* outside roads are bone dry, and it's like im driving a different car!

Power is awesome, turbo is super smooth with no studdering or puffs of rich smoke that i'll get in the summer time. It just drives - all around -so much better.

This gives me ONE (and only one) reason to like the wintertime here in Denver.

Just thought i'd share. Anybody else get these results in the cold weather?

 

Cold weather does result in lower intake temps and there for a denser charge of air into the intake. I also noticed the pop/burble much more pronounced in the cold weather.

 

I just picked up my '12 MCS from the dealer today(-14 deg C, 7 deg F), and had the best drive yet in the car. It was as if the car was on steroids, growling and farting at everything in its way. I was getting pretty annoyed after three dealer visits to fix a loose dash, but I kinda forgot all about that on the way home!

 

I find my JCW exhaust goes completely nuts in the extreme cold weather (like -15 Celcius) - far more lively than in warm weather. The sad thing is it is way too cold to have the window open to enjoy it! Far easier to get a single really loud pop when shifting gears in cold weather too - especially if I just exit from a highway.
