Extended Warranty from Dealerships on NAM?

A few days ago I purchased a 2012 Mini Cooper S. The dealership where I bought it from were asking for some absurdly high prices for a 3rd party extended warranty and the Mini extended maintenance. Do any of the dealerships here on NAM offer discounts on the extended warranty and extended maintenance for NAM members?

My credit union sells policies from Member's choice, underwritten by Virginia Surety. Seeif you can locate them online. Best deal I've found yet.

There are TONS of choices for 3rd party warranties. I purchased mine from the dealer when I bought my MINI (Nissan dealer) and is backed by Nissan themselves. So far my first claim is going through this week and the shop hasn't said it is a problem. I would imagine the best bet is to shop around, and do some legitimate research of the company and more importantly read the actual terms of the warranty prior to forking out your money.

I have one from Carmax, but I know good and well with the mileage I'm putting on going to work and back, I'm going to need one soon too. I'm going to check with State Farm while working on a refi for the truck...

My dealership sells Easy Care for a 3rd party and it has been great to me. I would entertain any that the dealer sells as they often finds it easier to get authorizations and payment. Plus any work done by the dealer has a 2yr unlimited mile warranty.

I have Easy Care and just used it yesterday for a screw in my passenger rear tire.. Took the car to NTB and they had an account with EasyCare and they paid it right over the phone for me. They plugged the tire.. Saved me 30 bucks.
