I'M BACK!!!! Pic heavy with video and lots to read :)
hello ladies and gents,
Since the new generation of Mini Coop came out I lusted after one... every time I was in the market for cars the MCS slipped through my fingers
I ended up with everything from Audi's, to BMW's, to the Mazdaspeed Miata I am ridding myself of this weekend
While the MSM is a "great" car (according to everyone but me) I hate it and to me, it feels like I am trying to replace the mini in the fun department, unfortunately it fell short.
Three years ago I had been scouring this forum for months. I was DETERMINED... I was going to have a mini! A gentleman in Massachusets had posted his 12k mile, BONE STOCK R53 (BRG/black, cold weather, sport, nav, sunroof, heated everything, etc. etc. [it was fully loaded with the only option left out being the rear view assist... its a mini cooper, who needs that]) The seller was asking WELL below blue book, he was a military man and had to leave for Japan that week with his wife for 5 years. I comitted sight unseen and he drove the car down to me
as soon as I saw her I KNEW she would be mine... she ended up in my possession!

after I got her I KNEW she wouldnt be left stock for long... the morning I singed the papers for the car I had my upholstery guys make me a shift/e-break boot. I had my window tinters darken her up a bit when the upholstery guys were done. The night I picked her up I found an exhaust on here that I promptly bought. I enjoyed the tone of the car with the exhaust for a while. Soon after, I added a cravenspeed intake box, followed by a pulley, intercooler, enkei RPF1's with NT05 tires and lots of track with even more time on the dyno

she's a whiney one (get it?) as seen in the vid. below, she made 200whp

i motored and blasted around town and the track for a year and a half. I quickly got bored of her :( ... I sold her and got an audi A4t (which I modded to a stg. 2+), after a month in the audi I missed Bridget (my BRG mini) so the hunt started again (i switch cars like underwear). Because of the killer deal I got on my R53 I was spoiled... I LITERALLY paid 7k below book, so when I expected that again it was nowhere to be found. My fathers best friend is the GM of a BMW dealer that just happens to have a Mini dealership attached, I called him to feel him out and he talked me into a 2012 "S". I am going to spec it Saturday and cant remember being this excited in a long time. I work at a company that manufacturers performance exhaust and intake parts for along with tuning exotic cars, my fabricators and engineers have already built an exhaust for me on their CAD program and that along with my tuner (who doesnt tune minis) telling me he can make me a ton of power, he told me while he doesnt "sell" the tunes on these he had one and made ridiculous power with it
, neither helped with my anxiety about getting this deal done
if you are still reading, thank you! I tend to ramble and am SO EXCITED about rejoining the community my girlfriend thought something was wrong with me haha. Here is a little eye candy of the shop cars and a few of the cars I have built:
