Problems with ordering?

I ordered my 3rd mini. I ordered the car with 17" blk star bullets and specifically ordered all season tires. The dealer said they would just pick up any tire off the rack. Is this true bc I wont be happy. I looked on tire rack and the only 17" all seasons would be contiprocontact ssr. Anyone had issues with this?

Typically the mfgs have two different tire vendors supplying tires for a given build spec. Since Mini allows you to spec all-seasons from the factory, I would think you would get one of the two different all-season tires that Mini uses. What more do you expect them to do?

My MCS came with the 17" run flat ContiProContact SSR tires and I am very pleased with them. The see to provide good pavement contact and are wearing reasonably well thus far with 14K miles. When I need to replace them, I will probably go with non run flats for a little smoother ride and greater selection of tires.

I ordered my S Coupe with all season tires on challenger wheels. The car arrived last Friday with Conti sport contact 3 SSR summer tires. The dealership is going to make good on replacing with all season tires. There is a problem at the factory having a stock of all season tires.

I blew an All Season Conti RF last week, only MINI dealer had them in stock and only because the stock woman gobbled em up. They are on back order everywhere else. Went with non RF's! Could be the reason for the tire trouble.

Hopefully my dealer is just as kind but I doubt it. I don't wan't to deal with the low tread life of high performance tires.

If the car doesn't arrive with what you spec'ed, I wouldn't think the dealer would have a leg to stand on to refuse to change them out.
