Post Does the R60 have a mushrooming issue like the R55, R56, and R57?

I have a 2012 Cooper S Countryman All4 for which I already thinking of mods. My research indicates that there are all kinds of threads on how to avoid "mushrooming" and the like on other Mini models, but none on the Countryman. Is this because no such problem exists on this model, or is the vehicle too new? I have looked at the VIP strut tower brace, but its design does not seem to address potential mushrooming issues. I have looked at the Craven Strut Tower Defenders (STD), but there is no strut tower brace which can be added to it. Advice, comments, recommendations. Thanks for any feedback.

I'm not aware of any of the 2nd gen models having problems with mushrooming. Unless you are really, really risk averse or just like the looks, the tower defenders are probably not needed. ymmv.

+1 no issues with the R55, 56, or R57. Thus no R60 issues.

I know the 1st Gen MINIs have mushrooming problems because I have one, but I've never heard of it being an issue on the 2nd Gen cars.

If every car buyer went by what they read on car forums, car sales would come to a complete stop.
