Hello everyone,

I'm a new owner of a 2010 mini cooper. I'm looking to purchase some summer rims for the car and have my eye on some JCW replica rims.

Not being the most knowledgeable car person I was hoping for some assitance from others. I've tried to do my homework in terms of researching cast alloy replica rims vs OEM. If money was no issue I'd buy the OEM without hestitation.

I guess my question is, is anybody using mini replica rims? Pros vs cons? Any help would be much appreciated.

Lots of aftermarket rims available, some are better than others.

Search the forum using search or just bounce around the tire/wheel area.

Price point for rims is a factor, cheap rims = problems.

Try tirerack.com, good rims and decent prices, bundles with summer tires are a great option via tirerack.

Btw, I decided a set of OEM JCW rims were a better option, I bought them from a NAM member who was going to OZ rims.

Alex at TireRack is a great help, they have lots of good stuff. They'll have me as a tire customer for life. OEM wheels are heavy as **** so you're probably better off going aftermarket anyway. I recently got a set of Konig Feathers at Discount Tire Direct, got a great price there and the service was good as well.
