Carbon Fiber Hood options, Seibon or VIS?

Has anyone here installed a CF hood on their car and which model?

I only see stock appearing options from Seibon and VIS and then there's the extreme DTM carbon version from VIS.

What are your opinions on quality? I'm leaning towards stock since the DTM style is over the top in my opinion.

Why am I looking at a CF hood? Someone backed into my car and is buying me a new hood, headlight and repainting my bumper...so a new factory hood + paint = CF hood price. Why not?

Unless you're going for the all-out race car look I'd stick with the OEM style.

I haven't seen anything from Seibon for MINIs, but their Honda hoods that a few people in the area have are pretty good quality. I've never had any experience with VIS.

Based on the price difference I'd probably stick with the OEM design. It looks like the VIS hood is $100 more than the Seibon, but I'm not sure what warrants the price difference.

There is a seibon on wmw site for 600, I saw one painted on a r53 looked fine and he said the quality was good. I have never seen anything from other brands on a mini.

Too bad that hood at WMW is for an R53. I need one for an R55/56.

Both VIS and Seibon are of equal quality in my experience. Whichever one is cheaper should be fine. I've seen both on many cars. Two of the best manufacturers for sure.

Yeah I know I was just pointing out for general price comparison. Also Seibons site doesn't even show for r55/56 from what I could see. I'd say go with VIS, don't forget hood pins or something creative in the budget also.
