Does anyone else hear a light scraping noise while slow braking from 25mph to 0? Ours started shortly after we got the countryman. I think it comes from the rear wheels though it is hard to tell from within the car. Took to the dealer, but they said it was normal. Cause by brake dust. Would probably go away. Or...do some heavy braking to clear the dust. Been 6 months. Still does it. Anyone else have this normal sound?

 

13,000 miles, one year old, brakes still make noise everytime.

 

Any other car I'd be looking to see if I'd worn through the pads - seems to be a characteristic of MINI brakes...

 

consider switchign to ceramic pads.. I found it reduced brake dust ( less washing for me and noise.. did I mention superior stopping power?

 

Has happened on mine since day one. Not worried about it.

 

Same here. It will be one of the items on our list when it goes in for warranty work.
