Selling my 05 MCS, one of the best years?

I've heard this several times. I have an 05 MCS that I'm getting ready to sell. Why is it considered to be one of the better years?

The car has been pretty reliable, except the clutch. On my second now, and it's starting to go out. 62k miles. It also needs new control arm bushings. And don't get me started on how noisy/rattly the car is. Drives me nuts

Any tips on selling it?

Prey, and get ready to give it away. Been trying to sell my pristine 06 S for $10k! No calls on Clist add after three weeks. No money out there at all. Unless you can offer financing you may be stuck trading or Carmaxing it. Sad truth about the state of our economy.

I've recently sold my 04 r50 CVT with 32k miles for almost $11k...The asking price was $12xxx(pretty high for a cvt MINI in my opinion) but people contacted me like they were fighting for some fresh fish. But theres one thing that I did, bumping the ad every 2days and car was sold after a week or so.But I think people who contacted me didn't know much about MINI's and the CVT,and they just wanted a car that could save their money on gas. My car also had worn out bushings and it kicked everytime I slow down @ red lights, but ppl didn't seem to care much about that(I told them the parts were some small rubber pieces that were easy to replace...lol...I still feel guilty).
BTW I live in Northern VA-DC metro area.

I think the first thing you should do is stop talking about the bad clutch and bushings.

Good point!

I'm taking it in to get detailed, and get scratches and small dents repaired, getting it on the market next week!

Haha thats a good point...guess I was just honest enough to tell them about the bad bushings but not enough to tell them how much it would cost for a mechanic to get them replaced...LOL...well in some situations, lying is the only way to go...IMHO!
