Road Trip - New transmission

Going on a trip from L.A. to San francisco in my 06 MCS - manual. about 400 miles one way.

My question is: is it safe to make this trip back and forth on a brand new transmission? (bottomed out on a gnarly speedbump and cracked the casing, had to replace the transmission).
Are there things I should be weary of while driving 80+ mph on a new trans for about 6 hrs?
Thank in advance, all.

Youre good, there's no break in period with a transmision. The clutch on the other hand may require a slight break in, just cant do any kind of drag launches for a couple hundred miles.

Go for it.

After the trip, make sure you switch to a full synthetic lube if you haven't already. And even if you have, it's a good idea to swap out the lube after that initial run-in.
