Question Rally Lights

Thinking about adding these to my NON xenon CM.
Been looking at vip custom's http://www.vipcustomparts.com/R60%20parts%20page.htm stuff.I've talked with Van a few times his stuff looks top noch and he's well informed.
Has anyone used rally lights to supplement there lighting? They can be wired several ways to high beams, own switch,or fog light sw.
Issue with fog lights is they go out when high beams are sw on.
Anyone do this and how has it worked for you

The dealer in Ft Lauderdale told me they are illegal for road use. Don't know if true, or if so, only in Florida.

it'll vary by state, WA state IIRC is 55w limit, so those should be ok. I use to have 85w PIAA's that were a no-no. But you else have to remember they aren't positioned correctly for road use, so you'll be blinding people just based on the angle

The CA Vehicle Code says:
"Maximum Number of Lamps

24405. (a) Not more than four lamps of the following types showing to the front of a vehicle may be lighted at any one time:

(1) Headlamps.

(2) Auxiliary driving or passing lamps.

(3) Fog lamps.

(4) Warning lamps.

(5) Spot lamps.

(6) Gaseous discharge lamps specified in Section 25258.

(b) For the purpose of this section each pair of a dual headlamp system shall be considered as one lamp.

So a pair of headlights and a pair of fog lights
or
a pair of head lights and a pair of driving lights
are OK
as long as dimming requirements are met for nearby cars.

Of course, if you have adaptive xenons, you may not need all these extra lights.
