I ordered the aero grilles and plan to keep the stock Cooper bumper. I got the top grill on no problem, but now the lower grill won't fit. I tried looking at the resources on Gabe's site and there was one specifically for it, but I was a bit confused about the writeup. What tools should I buy and what specifically should I cut? HELP PLEASE, thanks.

Hey Ivan,

RedminiS and I talked about the different ways of doing this. He shaved all the tabs off and glued his on, I drilled new slots for the tabs and installed that way.

Here is the link to that thread. Lots of pictures of my finished product

Here is Gabe's site for Instructions

Thanks Smokey,

Took a while for someone to help. I totally forgot Ryan did his, but I don't want to just glue it. I'll check out your site right now, thanks alot.

When I saw the date of your post I thought, "what's up? So many people have done this mod, where is all the help?" Guess it got over looked.

One tip when you go to cut/drill the new slots make them a bit larger (side to side) then the tabs. This will give you some room to tweek the grille left or right to insure it's centered. I used an 1/8th drill bit for the first few, but changed over to the rotozip for speed. Just watch the rotozip, it has a mind of it's own at times.

Good luck and let me know if I can help.

If you don't want the grill to stick way out you have to cut the thickness of it back....I used a sheetrock razor knife. I used silicone and it worked fine
