For those of you who have your cars, I have a question about the colored ambient lighting. Is it just the doors that get the colored lights or does it also change the colors of the instrument panel?

 

Just the doors I'm afraid. It's controlled by one of the roof toggles and also has two little lights showing the current color. You can adjust it so the colors are always changing. I play with it a lot.

 

Awwwww...I thought it was at your feet too...

 

My Coupe has it on the doors and the door handle and of course the two lights that glow down onto the cup holder center panel area.

The hardtops though have the additional light that is above the windows and I think along the pillar between the front side window and the back side window near the roof.


Ambient lighting in all MINIs do not change the actual instrumental panel colors. Those area always amber.

 

This is one "feature" and expense I could do without.

 

I love the ambient lighting. It adds a nice personality to the car
