I bought my daughter a 2003 Mini Cooper and I'm trying to install a product from flashingbrakelights.com which makes her brake lights flash 6 times real fast when she hits her brakes. The concept is it helps people see her more and will help protect from a rear collision.

My question is I cannot figure out the wiring for the rear brake lights.

Here is a pic I took and I wrote down the wires colors:



I need to know which wire is POWER and which one is the GROUND.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

ground is brown (standard throughout the car for BMW and MINI)

The brake power is black/green for the left taillight, black/blue for the right taillight.

 

It's working perfect.

One last question, do you know what color the POWER wire is for the 3rd brake light?

The 3rd brake light should have only two wires. One is brown (ground) and the other would be power.
