One of the girls recently pointed out to me that "your new car" is in the new Ellie Goulding video.
I went and look, sure enough for the US version of the song Mini has put our cars in it.
Which comes to no surprise since BMW has been aggressive of late with product placement in music videos & movie taking over from Audi.
I'm a currently a junior, majoring in advertising so I'm quite curious is there any more Mini product placement out there (besides the obvious Italian Job) and whatever happen to The Brazilian Job? The name didn't sell?

Ellie Goulding is british so is Mini. So it makes some sense why Min is in Ellie's music video besides the obvious BMW's promotional effort.
Besides, Mr Bean drove a Mini in the Mr Bean's series...Rowan Atkins is actually a semi-pro racing driver.
Good to see an advertising major here. I just graduated with an advertising degree...

He gets turned down by VW, so when he's filling up the MINI and praising it, he finishes with, "I'm just glad I'm not driving some piece of **** Volkswagen"

 

Might help the brand, but this can't possibly be any good for MY image, hehe. As if I cared....

 

FAKE. A real mini steering wheel would have a dented emblem on it :p
