No.2. 1959 Austin Mini: Sir Alec Issigonis built his little runabout with a transverse engine and front-wheel drive. Fifty years later we realize he created the blueprint for virtually all mainstream modern cars.

That is a good list but some of it is a little wrong such as the Leaf being the first mass produced electric car. GM beat them by 10 years. Just saying.

I would reverse 1 and 10. The BMW 2002 is No. 1.
