R50/53 adjusting day time running lights w/ Xenon low beams
Your drl's are your highbeams in a gen1 mini with xenons...
lowbeams are xenons, highs are halogen bulb run at lower powerfor drl's.
xenon equipped cars have a self adjusting featilure to compensate for car loading....but the basic aiming should be conventional (screws)....meaning the entire assembly is adjusted, changing the aiming of both.

There is a long necked stalk style BMW tool which is passed thru the fender well when bonnet is down for adjusting the HD lights while front of the MINI is facing a flat surface.
If you just pop the bonnet with low beams on, you can acess the screw while watching the ceiling of your garage, adjusting can be accomplished same manner w/o the tool.

So if use the adjusting screws to set the DTRLs, I won't screw up the Xenons. Good to know.
Not like i'm going to be adjusting my headlights every week to justify the expense of nifty cable adjuster tool.
