Forgive me if this is a silly question but...

I was wanting to get my upholstry steam cleaned this spring, but I envision something of an electrical burner buried under the cloth to provide much needed winter butt-warmth. Will steam cleaning have any effect on the heated seats? Has anyone had their heated seats steam cleaned?

I'm no expert, but I have to think the heating elements are quite well sealed just for safety's sake. I doubt a steam cleaning would bother them.
