Question Cooper Countryman Spare Tire?

Does anyone know if the MINI Cooper Countryman has a spare tire?

Nope... fix a flat. Especially if you get run flats.

The BMW X3 spare donut in size 135/90/R17 fit just perfectly. No rubbing or clearance issues even in the front, and is an almost an exact match in circumference to the OEM wheel rim/tire set up for the 17's.

Will it fit in the trunk of the S with the cover in place?

I think that should read be... fix a flat, if you don't keep the run flats.

You will not be able to fit a spare in the boot well that will work on the Countryman. The boot well is a little under 20-inches back to front. The diameter of the wheel you are running is close to 26-inches. The 135/90R17 is 26.57-inches in diameter and with a 16-inch wheel is 25.57-inches.

The standard or "donut" will not even lay flat behind the seats. The standard tire, or a "donut" can be carried if you remove the security shelf and strap the tire to the backs of the rear seats using the child safety harness clip points. I'm not recommending this and I intend to keep the run flats. If I change my mind, what little there is left, I'll update my plug kit and compressor and maybe carry a can of slime.

If you really want a spare the best way is to get the mini fini spare tire carrier and find someone to make a MINI inspired cover for it.

I just bought a spare rim, same as in on the car. Didn't even put the sensors on the rim.... Its just a spare. Once the run flats are history, I'm putting the same as is on the spare , PNero Zero tires in 17".

Also have the slime kit with the compressor and worms, the big kit. I'd try that first with the run flats and if that failed, the spare will get me home.

Taking it on a trip soon, will have what I need...

Oh yeah,if you do the spare, get those construction garbage bags, I have the clear ones... Put the spare in it and seal it up...or you will smell new tire rubber.
The tire does fit nicely behind the rear seat, vertically with the boot cover pulled... The tire fits in the well...
This is for long trips so you won't always have to have it there.
For local stuff, I can call home for the spare
