Really dumb question, but this is my first BMW product. I noticed when the car is switched off, the brake lights don't seem to work when I press the pedal?

I tried this before and after the diode mod. Is this normal? I'm used to the typical GM/Saab/Mistu which do work in this scenario...

Thanks in advance...

P.S.- The Diode mod is cool

It's normal. The feed for the brake lamp circuit receives switched power. It's not always hot like it is on... well... nearly every other car I've owned!

It's very simple, the Philosophy: BMW does things differently not because they should, but because they can. (hears multiple people saying "ooh, I get it" in the background)

Cheers,
Ryan

So where does BMW get off copying Volkswagen's design philosophy, huh?
