Wow I am just in love with this thing it drives just fantastic. The handling is really good. As hard as as I push it in the turns it just goes. The detail in the little 500 is really good. The fit and finish is top notch and paint finish is fantastic. I bought it as I love the Design of the car but I am just at Awe of how good it is. When the 2013 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari model comes out late next year I will pick one them up as well. I still love the mini's too maybe I will get the next gen.

I don't know....just based off of looks alone....no customization could make that thing look good.

I like the new Fiat 500s a lot, even if they do look like marshmallow peeps.
It's a shame that a lot of us over here in the US base our opinion of Fiat on the ones we used to get years ago. What the average American doesn't see is that Fiat is world class, is huge overseas, and has come a very long way since their last US exports rusted into history. I for one am happy to see some Italian passion available to the US market for less than six figures.

After hearing so much about the Fiat, I was interested to see one. This past weekend I was at the Autos In The Park show in Dallas and saw one. Even my wife who is not a car person asked me why anyone would buy one of those over a Mini. It just looked like a toy that was trying too hard to look like something else, *ahem*. So I cruised over to another area and saw a '65 Mini and a 2005 R53 S with some Alta mods and such. Never looked back at the Fiat!

I think a Fiat should be a fairly problem free car, I've driven a few high mile rentals in Europe and they were great.
My wife was interested in a 500 until we test drove one. The interior trim pieces were not aligned, the headliner frayed, ect. Cheap materials too, but it's also cheaper fully loaded (Sport) than a base MINI, so you get what you pay for I guess. I think the deal breaker was the amount of headroom you lose with a sunroof. I'm 6'-3" and couldn't sit straight since there's no height adjustable seats! On the other hand, the car drove decently and had no rattles. Felt pretty solid and comfortable actually.
The Abarth looks like it'll be a very fun car, I'm looking forward to test driving one!

It looks like he test drove a Fiat 500 but is looking forward to test driving the Abarth version.
They've been claiming for 20 years that they finally got the quality right, both Fiat and Alfa, but... These are brands that you buy with your heart, not your brain. Just like Ducati. Want Italian? I recommend their wines.
I was thinking they just didn't have any ideas but this makes more sense.
The front & rear bumpers are very similar to the JCW aero kit.

Yes, the MCS is faster but I have a 2008 Clubman non s automatic and the Fiat 500 is much faster with its multiair motor and two different valve lifts can be actuated in the same intake stroke to control, in a continuous and flexible way, both the air quantity and the tumble charge motion in the cylinder and this like a turbo kicking in when this happens. The power band is very good. Also the fiat feels faster with ASIN 6 speed auto compared to the standard 5 speed. When the turbo model comes out at the end of the year it will be good match for the MCS.
