Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Looks like you lose the stock wing. Does it work with the standard mounting holes from either stock wing? The center section looks like aluminum. Is it clear coated and/or can it be powder coated?

Gent's......

Yes I got rid of the stock wing, unfortunatly the position of the stock holes are not in a god spot so I have these
nice caps that you paint. The wing section is extruded and anodized aluminum, and all the hardware is stainless steel.

The car looks absolutly stunning....can you say BTC or WRC.....

I usually don't like the ricer look but that is pretty tastfull on the MINI. Can you show a shot of the entire car side and rear? That would help to see the full effect and not just the wing. It looks alot more functional than alot of the wings I've seen on other cars....

MHO... I like it.

For what it is designed to accomplish, I think it is tastefully done. I would however, still consider it "rice" if I saw it cruising on the street. I just think that wings belong on airplanes, not cars. F1 cars have wings but then again you don't see them going through the drive through at Arby's either (damn, now I am hungry). Just my $0.02 though.

Nope, not very flattering IMO.

If I'd wanted a WRX of EVO, I'd have bought one.

NoBull said it best.

As we say here in MN: "It's different..."

(I don't like it at all, but it's not going to be on my car,
so drive what you like)

Not my cup of tea either, and on another note, the M7 web site kinda blows. For starters, the "Enter" button doesn't appear until you run the curser over it. And when the Flas (or whatever) page opens, its too big for a standard PC screen.

My feeling is that you should wait to post a web site until its complete and functional, not just "there" for the hell of it...

Why not start a "slam M7" thread? Seriously, he is a paying vendor here and this was merely an announcement of one of his new products. I may not like the look for my car personally, but if it has apps, cool.

I agree with you and as people have stated it may not be their cup of tea for a Mini but many others may enjoy the look...and then instead of mocking his webpage design be glad that people like him are trying to come out with mods for our lovely Mini Coopers

Not sure if your comment was directed at mine, but regardless, as a potential customer, I was merely stating my displeasure with the M7 web site, as it is slightly difficult to navigate and not at all user friendly. My tastes about the products aside, I still cannot view them on the site...

BTW, I totally agree with you... Maybe I need less coffee?

Storer, my comment was not directed at anyone in particular. It was more of an observation of the desire of some to go negative on vendors who fork out money to advertise here. M7 is not the only one that gets questioned here, as Cheese points out.

I think we're all thankful that there are vendors like M7 who will trailblaze and develop new and innovative products for the MINI. The tubular control arms, the plasma booster, it's all interesting stuff, even if I as an individual decide that they're not worth my money. I'm glad they exist. The more products that get out there, the better the competition, and the fewer $350 armrests we'll see on the market.

That said, this wing really makes me cringe. It just seems like a bolt-on afterthought, and aesthetically doesn't give the car the respect it deserves. Hopefully something more integrated will be developed for this type of application. If Peter makes enough money off of it to develop something better-looking, great. But in the meantime, it's posted on a public message board, and it can't come as much of a surprise that this item doesn't have universal appeal. Me saying it looks like crap isn't going to kill any sales.

Since there is another thread discussing the pros and cons of M7's new wing I'm locking this thread. You can find the full discussion thread by clicking HERE

Thanks!
