R50/53 Prices for Installation
I was wondering how much do Mini dealerships charge for the installation of the
1) Aero Kit (Price for kit $1200)
2) Driving Lamps ($400)
3) Invisishield; Aero Kit Bumper ($100)
4) White Tail Lamps and Red Reflectors ($448)
I plan on emailing or calling several dealers if anyone knows of a good deal from a Mini dealership for installation

I know this sounds pessimistic, but unfortunately it is true.
"They will charge you whatever they can get away with."
I have seen such a large fluctuation in prices and add on costs for these items from various dealerships it is crazy. In fact some dealerships are now adding on extra costs for their service. For example, Global Imports BMW in Atlanta is now adding a 5% equipment charge for all labor costs on their work. This is to pay for towels, shop equipment, disposal costs, maybe even that new 7 series for the owner's daughter. One of the most ridiculous charges I have seen and just another excuse for a dealership to charge more. Sometimes the sales department charges more than their own service department charges to put these items on.
Anyway, I would find out the labor time that BMW indicates in their service bulletin for these items and then multiply the dealers labor charge. One of the bad things about Mini is that the dealerships are so far away that there is no competition. You can't negotiate a lower price by saying the dealership 400 miles away is charging less.
In my personal opinion I would find a good shop to install them for you or put the items on your self. Driving lamps should take you no time to install. All of the items that I have install myself on the Mini were very, very easy. The front bumper takes a matter of 3 minutes to take off. The side skirts are easy to put on as well. My dealership wanted $100 for the Euro Parcel shelf, but it took me less than 5 minutes to install it. At this point I will never have Mini do any installation of any items on my car and they are only going to perform warranty work. The kicker was when they wanted to charge me $75 dollars for a tire rotation when I went in for an oil change. Plus another $3.75 for shop fees. I took it to a very large tire chain and they did it for free.
