I cannot open the tailgate.
I've tried everything, but it would seem like the latch isn't being activated (no clicking sound).
Has anybody here had a similar problem?

Henrique

You should have an emergency release cable that will manually open the latch. Check the owners manual for the location of the cable release. Might be under the rear seat.

I had the same thing happen on my 2011 MCS. I took it to the dealership and they had to replace the latch release button (the rubber strip you press to open the boot). This was done under warranty so it didn't cost me anything.

Can you still open the boot with the key fob?

Is your top ALL the way up or ALL the way down?

Like someone mentioned, use the cable release in the back. You can access it by putting the passenger rear seat down and reaching in.

Ive had my Mini about 6 weeks. Theyve had to replace that button 3 times in my car already. I know all about accessing the trunk without the button unfortunately.
