I'm getting a new '04 Cooper shipped across the country now. I need to drive it back home across a mountain pass. The Hamptons dealer said it had 16" star wheels and all seasons tires on it. Checking on the MINI USA site they show a "perfomance" tire as the only choice in the 16" wheel category. Calling the dealer back, he wasn't sure what the tires were and it shipped out.

Anyone have a recent Cooper with 16's that could reply what flavor tire you have? I'm looking locally for 15x6" steel rims and 185/60/15 Blizzaks (close to what MINI specs for 15&quot. The car arrives Feb. 9

 

Here are the options for the MC with R83 five spoke 16" rims
195/55-16 TIRE WEIGHT (*)

Dunlop SP Sport 3000A DSST 23.6lb (10.72kg) P,C

P = performance (summer) tire
A = all-season tire

So you have either Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 or Dunlop SP Sport 3000A DSST tires in 195/55-16 size.
I do not show either as All Season which is an option for the Cooper S, not for the MC.
